Valuable bone substance is removed and rinsed using rotating instruments during implant bed preparation. The osteotomes of the osteotomy sets CAMLOG®/CONELOG® SCREW-LINE preserve the bone substance by condensing and displacing the local bone in the principally soft bone of the maxilla and mandible with bone quality 3 and 4 (Lekholm & Zarb, 1985). Adequate primary stability of the CAMLOG® or CONELOG® SCREW-LINE implants can be achieved. The osteotomes of the SCREW-LINE may only be used for implant bed preparation of CAMLOG®/CONELOG® SCREW-LINE implants.
For implant bed preparation for CAMLOG® and CONELOG® SCREW-LINE implants, four osteotomy sets are available in the straight convex / angled convex and the new straight concave* and angled concave* versions. However, the placement head is color-coded according to implant diameter. The depth marks and length labels are listed on the work element according to the implant lengths.
