To allow users the option of platform switching, the grooves in the implant inner configuration of the SCREW-LINE Implants (Promote® and Promote® plus) have been given an optimized geometry and a K article number designation. The three grooves of the Tube-in-Tube™ inner configuration were changed from round to square and shortened (K-Series). The healing caps PS, impression posts PS (open and closed tray), and abutments PS in the K-Series must be used only with the SCREW-LINE Implants. The option of platform switching with the CAMLOG® Implant System is possible only with these components. The SCREW-LINE Implants can be combined with all abutment types (incl. PS) with K article numbers (K-Series).
The healing caps PS (cylindrical, wide body, bottleneck) are tapered in diameter in the area of the implant shoulder and thus enable the soft tissue to adapt over the implant shoulder.
Use of the healing caps PS requires application of the geometrically adapted impression posts PS for platform switching due to soft tissue adaptation over the implant shoulder. The cams of the impression posts have been adapted to the grooves of the SCREW-LINE Implants and shortened.
The abutments PS are also tapered in the area of the implant shoulder support making it possible to adapt soft tissue over the implant shoulder for the prosthetic restoration. The cams of the abutments have been adapted to the grooves of the SCREW-LINE implants and shortened. All prosthetic components for platform switching are marked “PS” and provided with K article numbers (K-Series).
